Gauteng has placed a blanket ban on the transport of abnormal loads for six weeks over the World Cup period (10 June to 02 July), according to the Road Freight Association. Negotiations with authorities have so far yielded no positive results but the RFA is continuing its efforts to have this embargo lifted or relaxed.
